Stronger grades, study habits, and confidence — with a clear plan.

For parents who want more than “extra tutoring,” TEA helps identify what is holding a student back, creates a practical support plan, and provides focused help in core subjects, ESL, IELTS, homework, AP/IB, and advanced courses.

Support can be arranged as small-group, semi-private, or 1:1 tutoring depending on the student’s level, goals, schedule, and teacher availability.

02

Review the need

Review recent assignments, marks, teacher comments, exam timeline, or language needs when available.

03

Recommend a plan

Choose a short sprint, term package, advanced support, IELTS plan, or private 1:1 support.

04

Check progress

Adjust the support as the student improves, prepares for exams, or moves into more advanced work.

Parent FAQ

Common questions

Can my child combine several subjects?

Yes. Many students combine homework/study habits with one core subject, or combine ESL with English writing and current course support.

Is small group or 1:1 better?

Small group can be effective for regular academic support and lower cost. 1:1 is better for urgent needs, advanced topics, flexible scheduling, or students who need highly individualized attention.

Can support connect to TEA credit courses?

This page describes enrichment and tutoring support. Ontario credit course registration must be confirmed separately through TEA admissions and academic guidance.

Can you help with AP/IB homework?

Yes, when a suitable teacher is available. For AP/IB, advanced math, science, economics, English, or computer science, TEA may recommend a longer preparation package.
